Bob Krieger is a younger cartoonist of significant
talent who has developed a vigorous style suitable to the newspaper
he works for. His cartoons are sharp and direct and speak to the
person on the street in the vernacular language of thoughts and
images. They are powerful and well-drawn commentaries on the entire
gamut of public discussion in B.C., Canada, North America and internationally.
Krieger is an 'attack' or 'shock' cartoonist working in the tradition
of Terry Mosher (Aislin), concentrating on cause rather than effect.
Working exclusively for the The Province
(Vancouver), Mr. Krieger has produced some vivid images of politicians
such as Bill Clinton, Brian Mulroney, Joe Clark, Glen Clark and
Gordon Campbell and many different situations. Memorable and collectable,
these cartoons will convey present-day impressions to future generations
of researchers.
